Flat Branch Pub & Brewing was Columbia’s first modern-day brewery when it opened its doors in 1994 in a refurbished 1937 brick warehouse with a curved, barrel-trussed roof that was once a Hudson car dealership. The pub gets its name from a nearby creek which was the water source for Columbia’s first settlers. On tap are a variety of award-winning, hand-crafted beers. The upscale industrial setting also is home to a full restaurant, spacious outdoor patio and large bar. The full bar also has available a selections of wines, single malt scotches and small batch bourbons. Former software developer and home brewer Tom Smith is the founder and owner.
